The long awaited DENAFRIPS ATHENA is finally here - Our flagship full sized, True Balanced, Class-A biased preamplifier making its debut as the high-end linestage.

​

Equipped with the advanced microprocessor CPLD discrete relay based 60 steps volume control, coupled with current drive Darlington arrays network and the precision matched Military-specs Metal Film Resistors, yielded perfect channel balance, ultra low distortion THD+N at 0.000120%. 

​

The full discrete Class A output stage not only does it sounds full body, it reproduces transparent and spaciously sounding, literally the best of both worlds.

DOUBLE METAL SHEETS SHIELDED PSU

​

We are the strong believer of clean power equates to the foundation of good sound quality. 

​

The flagship Athena preamp is no exception. It shared the same beliefs and philosophy.

 

In the same chassis, the encapsulated power supply unit is located underneath the main control board - with double layers of MU Metal sheets shielded in between. This effectively suppressed the harmful EMI/EMF from the PSU. 

​

Multi-stages of Low Drop Out (LDO) voltage regulators, large capacitors bank provide clean power effortlessly to the Class A circuitry. 

CNC Machined Remote Control Unit

The remote control unit is machined from a single block of aluminium, anodized in black color. 

​

It controls the preamp volume, source selection as well as dimming the display. 

​

Interested in the AVATAR CDT? The same remote control can be used to control the CDT, too.

​

SOPHISTICATED SOUND c/w MEASUREMENTS
​

Thanks to the precision matched Mil-specs Metal Film Resistors and MU Metal Shielded PSU, the ATHENA THD+N is measured at 0.000120%, noise level at incredibly low 1.58uVrms. 

​

Each unit is tested with Audio Precision APx500 prior shipping. These are the quality standard we enforced to meet your requirements. Right, we know you care about the sound, as well as the measurements!
